Job Description
At Blondie’s Doughnuts, our decorators ensure that beautiful doughnuts are consistently created for our guests.
They are responsible for glazing and decorating donuts in an efficient, sanitary, and artistic
manner. Decorators ensure the quality of our dough, filling, glazes, and toppings meet company quality standards before putting them together to create a stunning final product.
Key Responsibilities
Decorate doughnuts, glaze cinnamon rolls and finish pastries per company standards and instructions provided by management
Follow the production schedule given Kitchen Manager/Pastry Chef each day
Make candied bacon, meringue, and prepare other toppings per company recipes
Consolidate containers of glazes, fillings, and toppings and refill necessary items at the end of the shift
Ensure cleanliness of work areas, refrigerators, freezer, workstations, shelves, mixers, warewashing area, etc.
Ensure maintenance of equipment and tools used daily and report any malfunctions to the Kitchen Manager/Pastry Chef immediately
Complete and submit cleaning checklists at designated times
Other related responsibilities as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Previous kitchen experience is preferred
Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
Comfortable with physically strenuous and repetitive tasks
Excellent punctuality and reliable transportation to and from work
Extreme attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and set priorities
Friendly attitude & team player
Excellent time management skills to work at a fast pace when given plenty of time
Self-starter with a curiosity to continue to learn
Integrity to work alone with minimal supervision
Initiative to communicate and suggest improvements when needed
Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours)
Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds
Fluency to read and communicate in English
