Guest Experience Team Member





Job Description


We call our Cashiers, Guest Experience Team Members. They are an integral part of the guest experience, through daily face-to-face customer interaction. Our delicious doughnuts, cinnamon rolls, pastries, and coffee can speak for themselves. However, it takes an incredible front-of-house team to round out our customers' experience in our retail location, food truck, and events. This position will be responsible for crafting thoughtful and personalized experiences for our guests from greeting them, to ringing and packaging their orders. The Guest Experience Team Member reports to the Assistant Manager. We encourage all our team members to be well-rounded team players, willing to get their hands dirty and do whatever it takes to keep things running smoothly.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining professionalism in the workplace. Balancing customer service and a great camaraderie within the company

  • Mastering the art of knowing your customers - who your regulars are and what they order

  • Assisting customers in a happy, positive, genuine way all the time to ensure they feel at home

  • Keeping a welcoming attitude; guiding customers through the menu to find something they like.

  • Maintaining consistent attendance and punctuality

  • Gaining an in-depth knowledge of the Point of Sale (POS) software and other digital applications used at the store

  • Maintaining 100% accuracy when using the POS system and handling money

  • Completing opening and closing checklists, always working to set the next shift up for success

  • Learn and maintain knowledge of our changing menu to effectively communicate all ingredients to guests

  • Neatly and quickly package customers’ orders

  • Checking product quality and using the FIFO method (first in, first out) throughout the shift

  • Ensure all food on the line meets food safety and quality standards, eliminating cross-contamination on the front line

  • Ensure FOH has essential supplies and restock as needed, including boxes, paper goods, cleaning chemicals, bakery tissue, etc. needed for daily operations

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all areas in the front of house

  • Maintain cleanliness of front line, storefront, bathrooms, and entrance

  • Ensure the store is sparklingly clean at ALL times

  • Adhering to all safety and health regulation policies set forth by management

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Previous experience in a food service/customer service role

  • Team player with a positive can-do attitude

  • Quick and adaptable learner

  • Excellent communication skills

  • The ability to provide personable customer service and a desire to make connections with guests everyday

  • Accountable in upholding company standards

  • Open availability, including weekends and holidays
